I take portraiture commissions from all over the world. I specialise in animal portraits, but also paint people, wildlife and still life. I work in a highly detailed realist style and appreciate that specific environments, or the inclusion of narrative objects are often extremely important; they convey not just a lifelike painting but also the essence of the subject’s personality and identity.
I work solely in oil paint directly from your photos and aim to produce a painting that conveys not only more life than the reference image itself but also a true sense of my subject's personality. Oil paint is a fantastic medium for not only creating a sense of depth and volume but for lasting a lifetime and beyond.
I always speak to my customers by phone or email to find out exactly how they would like their portrait to appear. I work hard to make sure that my customers are happy with their finished artwork. I always provide an opportunity for them to check and approve a photo of their painting before it is finished, and don't consider it completed until they are happy! As a result I have many returning customers.
